By visiting www.govotecolorado.com you can quickly and easily update your registration, change your address or party affiliation. You can also sign up to get a vote by mail ballot if you haven't already. Voting by mail is easy and lets you avoid waiting in line on Election Day or during Early Voting. After mailing in your ballot you can click on "Verify/Update Record" to check if your ballot has been received by the Clerk.

DRIVER'S LICENSE: Beginning November 1, 2006, the office of the County Clerk and Recorder – Driver’s License Office ONLY does driver’s license renewals and change of address. Any other needs you may have: i.e. Permits, CDL’s, you will need to contact the office of either Salida Driver’s license @ 719-539-2802 or Alamosa Driver’s license @ 719-589-4274.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Thanks to all participants in the 2010 Saguache County Primary Election; candidates, supporters, voters, county staff and especially the election judges. We had a successful election with no major problems, mostly due to the community members that stepped up to work as election judges. These folks work a very long day and are the backbone of our democracy, keeping it of the people and for the people. If you would like to join the ranks of these local heroes, contact your local party chair or come by the Clerk’s office to sign up as an election judge.

General Election is November 2.
There are three options for voting:
Polling place – paper ballot or electronic voting machine on November 2.
Mail ballot – paper ballot mailed to you - must be requested by October 26.
Early voting – paper or electronic machine October 18-29 at the Courthouse.
Last day to register to vote in the general election is October 4. You can register on at the Clerk’s office, by mail or line at GovoteColorado.com. If you are not sure of your registration status, or have any questions, please call the County Clerk’s office at 655-2512.  
Office Closure Notice – the Clerk’s office will be closed on Election Day, November 2, for all business except elections.
